Running with NO AV in Vista
Some have reported that you can get NOD32 to work on Vista, I haven't tried. I will wait until the guys at Eset have a Vista version. I am using Trend's beta on Vista. Seems to work well. You can during installation choose only the AV component. That is what I did. I didn't want all that extra stuff.

Vista Free AV Options
I've been very pleased with those programs (along with Ad-Aware and Spybot Search and Destroy). I would like to suggest my friend do the same thing instead of using the s-ware that came with his computer. So, would this also be good advice for a Vista machine (does AVG and Zonealarm work with Vista?

After installing Vista on my Son's pc, we found that Norton AV and Zone Alarm would not work due to compatibility issues with the OS. I have AVG Free in place just now, but which firewall will work with vista? Are there any good, free ones? And, which Antivirus 'should' I be running with vista anyway? Thanks. Joe.
