I would not be saddened to see Alta Vista go out of business - not as revenge for winnings personally "owed" me, but because AV has been more than "dumb" -- they've been evasive, self-contradictory, false in ways large and small (a notification with a null email reply address???) and have generally evidenced a

The AV supplied with XP and VISTA is more than enough protection. Computing since 1991 - ZERO viruses, intrusions, TH's. Are you high? There's no AV protection in any edition of Windows. Windows Defender is not AV and it's not even included with XP. I agree with Edwin on this one. Avast is awesome, as is AVG Free.
