The latest McAfee 8.5i Beta 2 works great. But earlier versions will not. You will need to create an account to download it. http://www.mcafee.com/us/enterprise/downloads/beta/index.html

Thanks guys. I now have two new problems. First one is more of a feature issue lol. How do I use the sideways browsing? I have the Beta 2 Nvidia Drivers and I am using a GeForce 6600... Second one is after activating, and about 3 hours later it came back up and said I had 3 days left to activate. I re-activated the windows... whats going on here.

If you like Norton and want to stay with them they have a Beta for Vista: http://www.symantec.com/home_homeoffice/themes/vista/index.jsp

Don't forget about IE 7 Beta and then for good measure throw in WMP 11 Beta! Now there is a challenge...

I managed to install Symantec corp. edition 9 32 bit av. However the real time protection driver is blocked. no patch would help. vista does not like the install package for 64 bit.
as for Symc Corp 10, one needs to download kb920143 from Microsoft . "Install this update to fix application compatibility issues with Symantec Antivirus version 10.0.1.622. Note that you must save the file to your local machine before running it"

Has no one been able to install NOD32 (latest version) in Vista?

Just tried it running the installer as Administrator. Seemed to install
OK.
Upon restart the CPU was up to 100%. Network connection failed. Unable to run any programs and couldn't uninstall it. Rbooted again in Safe Mode and tried to uninstall it. Said it had but there it was again after a reboot but this time I lost the mouse as well. REbooted AGAIN in Safe Mode and had to use System Restore to roll it back to before the installation of NOD32. Thank God I made a restore point before installing it as it didn't create one automagically.
